THE END

This is the last post on this blog.
Aleksi is kind of settled in Utah. She can be followed at http://seaofsunbeams.blogspot.com
Mitch leaves in 6 weeks for his mission. See letters from him at http://eldermitchellpoirier.blogspot.com
Max leaves in 2 weeks for UF. Follow him at http://paperpenpolaroid.blogspot.com
Cassie starts her sophomore year in a couple weeks also. She doesn't "care 'bout bloggin' "

What's Up?: Aleksi

Aleksi has been slowing decorating the Ghost House with Cortney.
frames on the fireplace
..
and a neat vintage couch.

Cortney and Aleksi have to share a bed until Cortney gets one,
but that's what they did in China, so they're used to it.

Aleksi has also been hanging out with a childhood friend, Jackie.
She's meeting a lot of cool people and really enjoying Utah, socially.
but Florida girls miss Florida beaches.

What's Up?: Mitch

Well, just a few things.
1) Keeping up with Manchester United

2) Spending time with friends (though Reagan's not in this photo)

3) And giving up dating until after his mission.

4) of course mission prep as well.

What's Up?: Cassie

Cassie and Max went to the Orlando Temple recently.

Along with Girl's Camp, EFY, and Youth Conference,
Cassie has had a really special summer this year.

Besides spoiling the dogs (letting them on the couch),..
McGraw and Bentley
..Cassie has also been spending time with friends.
Have you seen the movie "Signs"?
The foil on their heads blocks aliens from
reading
their
minds.
Funny, but..
you are weirdos.

What's Up?: Max

Max is taking advantage of living on the coast of Florida,
especially since the beach will be so far away when he's in Gainesville.
He's been taking some really neat photos with his friends.
Blurry photos are a new style he's trying out;
it's pretty cool!

How have I never been to this beach in all my years here?

Summer.
Too soon it'll be over.

Hutchinson Island: A Snider Vacation

but since we live so close,
they invited us to spend a couple days with them.
"Us" as in Mitchell Max and Cassie.
not our parents..
The pool had ridiculous rules like:
#1 No babies, even Rita.
#2 No Quidditch, even if you don't splash.
#3 You must wear a silly tye-dye wristband.
#4 Only four people allowed in the pool at a time.
Okay, I made that one up.
And it was fun to have both the pool and beach so close.

So thank you Snider family!
We're glad to be back in Florida!!

It was good seeing the Clarks again..

..and recalling so many great memories.

Courtney (Casper, now) and her daughter Lynley!
Jake, Cassie, and Gavin all hardly remember
even knowing each other.
Mitch and Jake

COME VISIT US IN FLORIDA!

CORTNEY!

We LOVE Cortney!
Thanks for seeing Eclipse with us,
taking us to the Calle warehouse,
and hooking us up with a huge TV for SPAIN VS THE NETHERLANDS!

We hope you and Aleksi get the Ghost House!
(there's a little girl ghost who live in the indoor cellar,
but plays on the tree-swing at night).

Who says boys don't rate girls for funniness?

Cortney took us to Provo Canyon
and we built a fire
(in two seconds because it's SO dry).

We did get busted by the cops
for being there past closing.
Whoops.
Yes, both people in this photo are Max.

We miss you CORT!

A Visit to Temple Square

After picking Cassie up from EFY in Salt Lake,
we drove to Temple Square,
and did everything that
Mitchell
wanted to do (as usual),
which was everything we could do.

(jumping across America)

Most fascinating was the Church History Museum.
This statue of Angel Moroni is only a few inches shorter than
the ones atop almost every LDS temple.

We also loved see all the original paintings
and the Christus statue.

Happy Birthday, Kiddo

EIGHTEEN!
Max enjoys a tres leches and a day in the pool.

Then, later a trip to Salt Lake for the Modest Mouse concert!
Which would've been better without the HUGE crowd,
the girl who gagged over Max's shoes,
and the stench of cigarettes.
And although we lost Max for a moment in the dense crowd,
we'd all agree we had a good time.

After the concert, we walked several blocks to see
the Salt Lake LDS Temple lit up at night.
It was pretty beautiful.
With all the jumping photos we've taken,
Aleksi joked we were
"jumping across America"
on this trip.
